Why getting some help when you run a business is the best thing you can do to thrive?
It has been 8 years now I have set up the business, wow, I can’t believe what an incredible journey I have been on since 2009. The ups and the downs, the business changes, evolving, the economy growing after the recession, and the creation of The Busy Queen Bee Brand which I am so proud of. It was only 4 years ago when I decided to take on a business coach, before that I always thought: “I can’t really afford it!” or “I know what I am doing, I don’t need any help!”
Well, what a transformation this has been for me since I have been working with Davina MacKail. We developed the Busy Queen Bee Brand, we worked together on the Franchise creation, she pushed me when I had doubt about the book, she encouraged me and empowered me to become more confident and ‘bee’ the best at what I do.
4 years down the line, I am now myself creating a programme to help driven entrepreneur, business owners, individuals and organisations to succeed, to find harmony in their life and career, and just like me to wake up with that fire in their belly, share their passion with other and make everyday one to remember, resulting in a thriving in their business and a happy life.
But I don’t want to be just a coach, sorry don’t mean that in the wrong way, coaches are amazing, but I feel that I can bring more than assisting clients to accomplish their life goals. I, also, want to act as an advisor, someone that you can turn to when you are not sure what to do. Bringing your feminine energy out, to be, feel, create and be emotionally involved and letting kicked in the masculine energy to get you into action mode, achieving your objectives and thrive.
There is always a bit of a grey area in regards to the difference between a coach and a consultant, but basically, a business consultant is more of an expert you turn to for help and advice with your business. They teach you skills you don’t know, analyse your business and create an action plan for you to implement to reach your goal.
Whereas a business coach is a co-creative process, who works with you to develop the skills you already have. They work to bring out the “best” of you. A business coach helps you develop your purpose, brainstorms with you and motivates you in your business.
See the difference…
- A consultant is the expert whose main task is to advise while a coach helps you to find the answers yourself.
- A consultant does the writing of the report or audit, while a coach works with you, motivating you to take actions.
- A consultant applies its expert knowledge to a problem whilst a coach helps you to learn how to do it yourself.
What I am doing now, is operate as a coach/consultant combination, “Coachsultant”; I will “bee” your coach, working with you as a partner, but also “bee” your personal advisor working as a consultant. Motivating you, giving you clarity and accountability but also support with the more technical side of your business, such as: the customer experience which includes your workplace environment, rapport building with yourself, your employees and your customers, and marketing your business to increase your visibility online and offline so you can grow your tribe around you.
