Half the Year is Gone!

Dear Gorgeous,

When it dawned on me that we are at the mid-way point of the year already, I thought I would point it out to you in a way to check-in with yourself.

I remember in years past frantically going on that dreadful, depriving ‘diet,’ with great intentions, only to lose my enthusiasm within a few weeks, year after year.

I felt like a failure. I observed other women and wondered what was their secret? What could they be doing that I was not?

So where are you right now at the beginning of July? I want to shed some ‘light’ on this so you can avoid some of the mistakes I made.

Let’s reflect and check-in with where you are to avoid a repeat of the past when the New Year comes. I know you get how that feels – and why lose any more time?

Here are a few questions to journal about or meditate over and ‘plant seeds’ in your brain. Our brains are like Google – when we ask questions, our higher self will answer and give us precisely what we need to know.

Note – This is not about beating yourself up. It’s about understanding yourself and the behaviors that are standing in the way of what you say you want.

Here they are:

Have you committed to your weight loss goals and if not, why not?

What is it that’s holding you back?

As you reflect, can you identify any patterns?

If what we say we want is not reflected in our reality, what’s going on?

What’s the incongruency really about?

Is it as important as you say?

Do you say things like I’m too busy,’ and other excuses putting it off for the future

Again, really sit with yourself and journal about it or meditate to see what insight you receive.

It’s not too late and now is the time for you to step into the greatest version of you.

I got to the point where I was unable to stay on the diet rollercoaster any longer and that’s when I discovered how living my life in the ‘light’ as a ‘light and luxurious woman’ made everything change!

Simply put, the ‘light and luxurious woman’ owns her power and in so doing, she honors her body. She lives her life to the fullest. She loves herself and her body.

Eating becomes artful and pleasure is non-negotiable! It’s a mindset shift which changes your thinking.

Consider where in your life are you living your ‘light.’ There’s plenty of time to step out of your darkness and lose the weight because honestly, it’s a lot harder to live our purpose with passion without achieving this. That’s how it was for me as it completely opened a space for me to be me. The behaviors I had were affecting my moods and emotions so much – and intuitively I know you probably feel the same.
