When I gained weight at the age of 15, I had no idea that it would take me on a journey that would unfold in the most spectacular way!
If you are reading this because you are interested in finally losing weight, I am sure you know what it feels like to be living life from the perspective of needing this to happen so badly.
I felt that way and was really living small. It impacts on so many levels emotionally but we become so accustomed to living small that unfortunately just accept it as our ‘normal.’ Somewhere in the back of our minds we tell ourselves all kinds of stories, “I will deal with it when I have _______, or “I don’t have the time to deal with this right now.”
“MY STRUGGLE WITH WEIGHT WAS A DOORWAY TO SOMETHING EXTREMELY PROFOUND-MY STRUGGLE WITH SELF”
I wouldn’t be writing this to you today and leading so many women in their transformations had it not been for this journey. It led me to this strong passion for helping woman in their own transformations just like I did.
I was able to take the experiences and teachings to real meaning and purpose in my life. It worked because it unfolded over time and was not just a quick fix.
OUR RELATIONSHIP W FOOD IS MULTI-DIMENSIONAL
It was showing me I was out of balance and something needed attention. As I turned around the corner to the other side, I see that it was a journey to profound wholeness.
THE HABITS ARE NOT THE ENEMY- IT’S TELLING US WHERE WE NEED ATTENTION.
So what do you think you are accepting as normal everyday?
Weight can have so many messages:
~You’re not listening to your body
~Using weight as protection
~You need to slow down
~You could be using food to ‘stuff down’ feelings you find too painful to deal with
Check-in with yourself to see where your habits need a new habit and what is your weight trying to get you to pay attention to?
My message for you today is simple and soulful: When we are living in a body we are not happy with, there are so many subliminal negative messages we might be telling ourselves. One of them is that you are ‘broken’ and you need to be fixed which is not true.
Today, reframe your mindset by loving your body. Use my journey as an example of the soulful lessons I learned instead of this ‘heavy’ problem you have in your life. There is lots of wisdom in your experiences too.
What is this unwanted habit a symptom of?
If you are someone who is looking at me and saying to yourself, “I can never do that” it’s really not true. I did it and so can you.
Miracles are on the other side if you make the decision you have had enough and will commit to take action.
Love and abundance,
