Body image has a massive effect on self-esteem. There are times when you have negative thoughts towards yourself. These thoughts do effect your self esteem and the way you feel about yourself! Although overcoming these doubts and negative perceptions may take some time, building positive habits and mindset can help build the love you need internally and externally.

Body image refers to your own thoughts about the way in which your body appears. It may also be based on your perception of how you think other people judge your appearance. Body image has a major factor on your self-esteem; as that is what you feel about yourself as being an individual.
Self-esteem is all about how much you like yourself. This would include recognizing your individual character, skills and accomplishments. Even self-esteem is based how you think other people perceive you as a person. Those who have good self-esteem will have a positive and confident attitude. They would know their strengths, personal value and true worth as a person.
In case of women, body image does make a difference to their self-worth. They are influenced highly by their physical appearance. But they need to realize that an individual is much more than just good looks! There are a lot of attributes and aspects that make up a person. Hence women need to realize that looks are important, but they are not everything. There is more to them!
When a woman wakes up in the morning, her first reaction is to check herself out in the mirror. Now no person is born perfect. She can either focus on her bad features to have a low self-esteem throughout the day. Or else she can just look at her best features and feel happy through the day.
The best features may not be just your physical appearance. It may be about your melodious voice, your perseverance, intelligence or anything else. Once you have a high self-esteem, you will get the courage to try out new things. Once you get the power to believe in yourself, you will make healthier choices for your mind and body.
You need to realize that each part of you is worth caring for. This will help you to have a positive attitude towards yourself.
Rather than focusing on your not-so-perfect attributes, do something that you like. Talk to friends, go for a walk, listen to music, or do any other of your favorite activity. This will freshen you up as well as give you a new perspective about everything.
