Take a Break! It’s OK!

Happy Wednesday! Can you believe it’s March already!? Where is the time going?

I have to admit, it’s great to be back in action and moving and grooving with Rise Up For You, coaching, and all of the other fun things life is throwing my way. I know it’s been awhile since you’ve heard from us, but we needed to take a break! AND THAT’S OK!

I, just like you, had my moments of beating myself up mentally because of the lack of movement I have had the past two months. However, it was much needed. As women sometimes we feel like we have to carry everything on our shoulders and always put on that perfect smile even when things around us seem like they’re tumbling down. The truth is the past two years was a roller coaster of emotions; from divorce, to losing everything financially, to fighting a short battle with cancer that ended up winning and taking my mom. It has not been easy!

Although, I’m grateful and blessed for everything I have and that is still coming my way, I realized that I needed to take a break. Take a break and process what had happened, the proper way. What kind of leader would I be if I didn’t listen to my own advice. Rise Up For You means many things, one of them being taking the time for yourself so that you can, in fact, be the best you can be.

I did miss you but at the same time you wouldn’t have gotten even close to the best of us here at Rise Up For You. Sometimes we have to sacrifice the quantity of our work so that we can produce quality. So I ask you, are you taking the time to process what you have gone through or are going through?

I share my story with you to let you know that no one is a robot and it is ok to take a step back, realign, and process the challenges that you have had to overcome. For some it’s takes weeks, some only days, and others a month. Whatever it is, I urge you to take the time so that in the end you can give us the best of you.

“The only way to make a spoilt machine work again is to break it down, work on its inner system and fix it again. Screw out the bolts of your life, examine and work on yourself, fix your life again and get going.”
