Work It Wednesday Template copyHow Knowing Nothing, Helps You with Everything!

Happy Wednesday! Spring is finally here and the flowers are blooming beautifully.

I had a huge epiphany the other day, while workingwith my client, that I decided to share it with you. You may or may not be interested in starting your own company; a mini start-up, a coaching business, an online boutique, etc. The thought of building something on your own can be very overwhelming as most people don’t know how to throw up a website, build a leadpage, post on social media, or even create photo to market their program. AHHHH!!!Where do you start!!!

This was me a few years ago when I decided to build Rise Up For You and NLN Productions. I knew nothing at all! However, the best thing about knowing nothing is that it helps you learn everything – almost everything 😉 At the time I had barely a budget to hire a web developer. I had to learn how to build a webpage, what lead pages were, how to start a podcast, create blog post, and the list goes on! Although this takes time and can be very difficult it has helped me so much in the long run! Here are a few reasons why learning the back end tech of your start-up can be incredibly beneficial!

  1. NO TIME TO WASTE: When I need something done quickly, I don’t have to make a phone call, or hire someone to get it done. I can quickly log into my admin page and fix whatever I need on the website, blog post, webinar, and more!
  2. LEAD WITH UNDERSTANDING: When working with my social media manager, if there is ever a time she doesn’t understand something in our system, I can jump right in and give her the training and understanding to fix and solve the issue. I am able to lead my team better because I have been there in the trenches figuring it out.
  3. I’M A WAY BETTER COACH: Having clients who look to me to help them jumpstart and excel their confidence and career is not something I take lightly. It‘s crucial to have the understanding and programs at my fingertips so that I can share them with my clients as well as teach them how to use it when they are in the building process.
I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes. Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You’re doing things you’ve never done before, and more importantly, you’re doing something.Neil Gaiman
